Join us for a webinar on how and at which stages ‘enablers’ – lawyers, accountants, bankers, real estate agents and others, and the firms they represent – provide support to kleptocrats.

Whether they know it or not, enablers play an essential role in helping kleptocrats to move, launder, and spend the proceeds of their illicit wealth, while also helping them to ‘whitewash’ their reputation. Many enablers are based in countries that are significant providers of official development assistance. We therefore make recommendations to help address the problem of ‘enablers’.

Hermione Cronje, consultant and former prosecutor in South Africa, shares the challenges prosecutors face in investigating and prosecuting enablers and how we can hold enablers accountable.
